"Friends"
It's funny how some friends just seem
to part from one another.
And
then somebody else comes along
you think you've known forever.
And somehow things aren't quite the same
you wish
it wasn't so.
But friends like mine are hard to come by
and just as hard to go.
I have friends, you have friends,
We have friends together.
So
with all my friends, and all your friends,
We'll all be friends together.
I hope someday in the future
we'll meet once again.
The music
changed, the kids have grown,
we have so much to say.
The good times that we had together
seemed so long ago.
And
every time I think of them
the emptiness it grows.
You probably have some new friends now
And so do I.
It doesn't
mean we can't stay friends,
We don't have to say Goodbye.
